  • Tasmania Division:

    Joanna Sun new Division Chair

  • Victorian Division:

    Aislinn Lalor, new Vice-chair

  • Queensland Division:

While welcoming these new members, we take the opportunity to acknowledge immediate past chairs for their valued contribution to AAG at the local and national levels:

AAG 500 Blog - Chronic lower limb oedema in older adults

This month, the AAG 500 Blog series takes a look at chronic lower limb oedema and the importance of screening in older adults. A big thank you and appreciation to AAG member and physiotherapist, Maree O'Connor, for kicking off our blogs for 2025.

Maree has over three decades of experience in chronic oedema management within both the private and public sectors and is deeply passionate about addressing chronic oedema among older adults, including screening and early intervention. Maree is currently undertaking a body of research into the prevalence, characteristics and risk factors of chronic lower limb oedema in the ageing population.

Read more about Maree and view her post Chronic Lower Limb Oedema in Older Adults: Why Screening Matters here.

World Lymphodema Day is on 6th March and a timely reminder to learn more and build awareness about the condition.

#AAGConf24 proceedings now available!

We're excited to share that the proceedings from #AAGConf24, held in beautiful Hobart last November, are now live on the AAG website!

A huge shoutout to Michael Tan, our Membership, Marketing & Infrastructure Manager and Conference Lead, for taking on the mammoth task of pulling together the conference program, event summaries, and abstracts into one go-to resource. Labour of love? Maybe. Herculean effort? Definitely!

Dive in, explore the incredible work shared at the conference, and we'll see you in Alice Springs for #AAGConf25!
